While Grace eventually escaped her captors but the memories stayed with her and eventually developed into to gripping story that is Girl Soldier. As the threats to international religious freedom and human rights persist Girl Soldier is an insightful, compelling narrative about the power to overcome. IRD director Faith McDonnell, a leading voice on religious freedom issues, co-authored the book.
