Here’s my interview with Collin Hansen, editorial director of the Gospel Coalition, a Calvinist syndicate of publication and meetings that is one of America’s most influential Christians networks. In 2006 Hansen authored Young, Restless, Reformed: A Journalist’s Journey with the New Calvinists, which articulated the appeal of Reformed theology among especially young urban professionals.
In our conversation, Hansen discusses the continued success of the Gospel Coalition and of Reformed churches in urban areas. We also talk about controversies among Southern Baptists, including recent allegations of liberal inroads at the denomination’s seminaries. And I ask him about American Christianity after Coronavirus.
As a Methodist, I admire the effectiveness of the Gospel Coalition and articulate leaders like Hansen, from whom much can be learned. I hope you enjoy our talk.

Southern Seminary is in the process of going liberal. They fired the conservatives. His comments about racial issues in the SBC are nonsense.

This is not true. These accusations have been widely proven false or exaggerated. The idea that Al Mohler is a liberal who is out to fire conservative profs is laughable on the face of it.
