On March 15, The Institute on Religion and Democracy had the pleasure of hosting Father Philip Corbett SSC, the Vicar of All Saints Church, Notting Hill, and a priest of the Society of the Holy Cross, to discuss the state of the pro-life movement in Great Britain, as well as what it is like to maintain a pro-life witness in a comparatively inhospitable terrain.
Father Corbett discussed why the pro-life position tends to get less attention in Britain by explaining that the legal, cultural, and political battles surrounding the issue have progressed in a vastly different manner when compared to the direction the United States has taken. But despite the relative weakness of the pro-life movement in Britain, Father Corbett illuminated reasons for hope and some actionable items for pro-life leaders in the United States to consider.
You can watch the entirety of Father Corbett’s lecture below.
