Washington, DC—The Institute on Religion & Democracy and the George Washington University Loeb Institute for Religious Freedom invite you to join a conversation on Martin Luther King, Jr.’s political theology, an overlooked topic on this 50th anniversary year of his death. Panels conducted through the day will consider topics, including MLK’s theological training and perspective, his role in and criticisms of American civil religion, and his views on foreign affairs.
If you are unable to attend the entire seminar, we invite you to join us at noon for a lunchtime discussion with famed Pentecostal minister Eugene Rivers.
