Never Forgetting What We Lost on 9/11

on August 28, 2009

September 11 is a national day of mourning for all that we lost in the jihadist terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. This year, the White House plans to transform September 11 by launching a National Day of Service on that day. This is not a day for a service project. Taking the focus off the events of 9/11 disrespects and dishonors the memory of those who died. It is a national day of mourning for what we lost – the almost 3,000 people killed in the jihadist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in the airplanes, and the potential that was contained within each of them. We also lost the innocence of a 9/10 world and we lost the privilege of living in a country where we had not lost thousands of our best and brightest young men and women in the armed forces. September 11 should never cease from being a day of mourning and grief.

Until I reach the end of the list, or until I am no longer able, I will publicize each day the name and information about one victim of the jihadists on 9/11. We must NEVER forget how our country, our life was changed on that day.
