The Rev. Dr. Mike Powers serves as President Pro-Tem of the MidSouth Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church.

Following graduation from Asbury College in 1974 and Asbury Theological Seminary 1981, he served as pastor of six congregations and later served as superintendent of the Bowling Green District (UMC). In 1997, Mike completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Seminary. Since then, he has served in missions and led mission efforts in several countries. He also served as a delegate to three General Conferences (UMC).
