Wednesday Worship with Mike Law

Sarah Stewart on June 18, 2025

The Institute on Religion and Democracy hosted the Rev. Mike Law, Jr. of Arlington Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia on June 18 for our “Wednesday Worship” noonday prayer and luncheon.

The monthly gathering aims to foster Christian fellowship within the greater Washington area. IRD hosts prominent Christian leaders to deliver sermons, pray, and facilitate worship.

Law, a Baptist minister, spoke to the IRD staff and guests on Mark 15:37-39 themed “Jesus’ Death Opeans Heaven and Hearts.”

Prior to serving as the Senior Pastor of Arlington Baptist Church, Law served as a Pastoral Assistant to Mark Dever at Capitol Hill Baptist Church. While studying Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland, Law was compelled to serve the Lord in full-time ministry. He is a graduate of the Reformed Theological Seminary and lives with his wife and their four children.

Video of the worship service can be accessed below via IRD’s Facebook page.
