The Institute on Religion and Democracy hosted Dr. Caleb Louden of The Salvation Army in Washington, D.C. on April 23 for our “Wednesday Worship” noonday prayer and luncheon.
The monthly gathering aims to foster Christian fellowship within the greater Washington area. IRD hosts prominent Christian leaders to deliver sermons, pray, and facilitate worship.
Louden, who serves as Managing Editor at The Salvation Army National Publications in Alexandria, VA, spoke to the IRD staff and guests on John 6:25-35 themed “On Bread and Bottlenecks.” He has a Master of Theology in Biblical studies from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in Ministry in Biblical Interpretation and Proclamation from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Louden lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Kendall, and two children, Caroline (6) and Jack (4).
Video of the worship service can be accessed below via IRD’s Facebook page.
