Here’s my chat with Christianity Today news editor Daniel Silliman about his new spiritual biography One Lost Soul: Richard Nixon’s Search for Salvation. It’s a fascinating story about the Quaker raised U.S. president, who was befriended by Baptist evangelist Billy Graham, married a Methodist, which his father also was, and influenced by “power of positive thinking” Presbyterian Norman Vincent Peale, while considering Catholicism towards the end of his life. The implications of Nixon’s spirituality were global and historic.
