The Presbyterian and Reformed tradition contains a robust history of scholars and theologians engaging questions of public theology. Our hope for this conference is that it is a time for our speakers to offer encouraging visions in public theology that attend to flourishing and the common good, while also creating a space for those in attendance to engage with thoughts and ideas as to how God might be moving them, their community, and churches, to live as salt and light in the world.
This event was co-hosted by Ministry to State and The Institute on Religion and Democracy.
Below are the Rev. Porter Harlow‘s opening remarks.
