On Monday, January 30, IRD hosted a lively discussion of Just War & Christian Traditions moderated by Marc LiVecche and featuring Eric Patterson, J. Daryl Charles, Joseph Capizzi, and Keith Pavlischek. In my remarks, I incorrectly said the 1944 Methodist General Conference reaffirmed the church’s anti-war stance by one vote. I meant to say, as I report in my book chapter, that the church overturned its pacifist stance and affirmed the U.S. role in WWII by one vote!
