#StandWithThePersecuted On Any Sunday

on April 16, 2016

(Or any day!)

Following up on my last blog post, I take to video to encourage individual Christians as well as churches to Stand with the Persecuted.

This Sunday, April 17, is “Stand with the Persecuted Sunday,” but don’t be limited by one day. And don’t be discouraged from observing this important event if you have missed April 17.

IRD partnered with the Family Research Council, the organization that spearheaded this effort, as well as numerous other Christian religious freedom and humanitarian organizations. You will find such resources as bulletin inserts, sermon starters, and prayer guides on the Family Research Council’s special website for Stand with the Persecuted. There is also a 2 minute video from FRC. You will find the link to the video on my previous blog post here, and on the FRC website.

Let’s make praying for and caring for our persecuted brothers and sisters in the global Christian community a regular event — something that becomes second nature as we change our perspective and be more aware that we are members of one Body of Christ around the world.

Have there been any difficulties in getting people to support this because the Souther Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has labeled the Family Research Council as a “hate group?” I know that the Obama administration seems to have outsourced hate group designations to the SPLC so I would not be surprised if Stand with the Persecuted got some guilt by association claims made against it.

The work of IRD is made possible by your generous contributions.
