Using the Debates to Help Sudan

on September 22, 2012

Act for Sudan, an alliance of advocacy groups and individual activists, of which IRD is a member is using the opportunity of Presidential and Vice-Presidential debates to call attention to Sudan’s genocide and crimes against humanity.

Please sign the petition to the debate moderators, Martha Raddatz, Candy Crowley, and Bob Schieffer. We are asking them to ask the candidates how they will end government-led atrocities in Sudan, including the genocide taking place in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile State, and the ongoing genocide in Darfur, as well as the marginalization and oppression of all of Sudan’s African people groups, including the Nubians in the far north and the Beja in eastern Sudan.

If you are on Twitter, it will also help to tweet this message, and to re-tweet the same tweet as tweeted by others including @ActforSudan.
