Josiah Hasbrouck

Josiah Hasbrouck, an alumnus of Cairn University and the John Jay Institute, was a Summer 2023 intern at the Institute on Religion & Democracy. While at Cairn, Hasbrouck researched and wrote an Honors thesis on 16th-18th century Protestant natural law theory, in coordination with the American Enterprise Institute’s Young Scholars Program. Josiah’s academic interests primarily lie at the intersection of theology, philosophy, ethics, which he hopes to study further in graduate school. He is currently a substitute teacher at Christian schools in the greater Philadelphia area, teaching middle and high school humanities, Bible, ethics, and social sciences classes.
