Under the “better late than never” category, Egyptian security forces entered the town of Delga in the Upper Egypt region of Minya on Monday, September 16, 2013, wresting control quickly from Muslim Brotherhood Islamists that had held Delga hostage for five weeks. In this case, better late than never is quite true. Although help for the beleaguered Copts in […]
Yesterday, August 22, the temperature hovered around the 90 degree mark in Washington, DC. But that didn’t stop 30+ bus loads of Egyptian Americans from gathering at Lafayette Park in front of The White House to protest what they see as the Obama Administration’s blatant bias towards the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. They also came to […]
Not content with the damage they have already brought to Egyptian Christians and their property, Islamists carried out a fresh rampage today, August 14, 2013. This time, the attacks were spurred by the Islamists’ reaction to the Egyptian government’s crackdown on two pro-Morsi protest camps in Cairo — not that they ever need an excuse to attack Christians. The numbers of the dead and injured are still rising, but at one point it was estimated 95 dead and 750 injured in the crackdown.

“At last, Egypt is now free from the oppressive rule of the Muslim Brotherhood!” he writes in Mabruk ya Misr (Congratulations, Egypt!) on July 3, 2013.
By Faith J. H. McDonnell (@Cuchulain09) “US, wake up!” was one of the most frequent shouts heard in Washington, DC on April 18, 2013, as hundreds of Coptic Christians, other Egyptian Americans, and their supporters joined together to protest the most recent atrocities against Christians and others since Egypt fell into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood and […]
By Faith J. H. McDonnell (@Cuchulain09) In the preface to his most recent book, Spring Fever: The Illusion of Islamic Democracy, former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy writes that Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi’s election “has converted Egypt from a military dictatorship to a sharia dictatorship.” This, he continues, “is the end to which ‘Islamic democracy’ […]
An op-ed by U.S. Representative Trent Franks (R-AZ) on the precarious situtation of Egypt’s Copts and others who oppose the coming full-blown Islamist government of Mohamed Morsi appeared in today’s Washington Times. Franks, the co-chair of the International Religious Freedom Caucus in Congress, says: The new government led by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mr. Morsi now openly […]
