On February 21 – 23 (Thursday through Saturday of next week), Christ Church UMC in Birmingham, Alabama will be hosting the Rejuvenate Conference.
Conference organizers are driven by their belief that “God can renew the mainline church and the North American Church in general.” Rejuvenate will focus on “renew[ing] the Church to its first love of Jesus,” “restor[ing] the Church to its primal expressions,” and “releas[ing] the Church to cities and nations with the power of the Gospel.”
The impressive line-up of speakers include: Asbury Theological Seminary President Timothy Tennent, evangelical civil rights movement veteran John Perkins, and Peter Xu Yong Ze, aka “the Billy Graham of China,” whose imprisonment was a catalyst for the creation of the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
Theologically orthodox United Methodists seeking the encouragement of gathering with like-minded believers of their denomination, along with any other Christian seeking to become better equipped for effective Kingdom ministry should seriously considering attending.
There is no registration deadline. For more information, visit: http://rejuvenatethechurch.com/
I will be on site reporting for IRD.
