You all appear to do “hard-hitting” investigations with groups you deem too liberal, but do you do the same for groups that are potentially hate groups – groups that bear false witness and otherwise twist real world facts in extreme ways to demonize those with whom they disagree?

The AFA and Brian Fischer have been investigated by groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center and Right Wing Watch and found the tactics and language of places like AFA to be something to watch out for.

Some rather astounding and unbelievable claims can be found in quotes from the AFA…

“As with smoking, homosexual behavior’s ‘second hand’ effects threaten public health….Thus, individuals who choose to engage in homosexual behavior threaten not only their own lives, but the lives of the general population.”

“Homosexuality is a poor and dangerous choice, and has been proven to lead to a litany of health hazards to not only the individuals but also society as a whole.”

“Homosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and six million dead Jews.”

The last quote there is from Bryan Fischer.

It is, of course, hateful, hate-filled BS – slanderous excrement designed to compare homosexuals as a group to NAZIS and, being hateful and based on lies and twisting of truth and bearing false witness and slander, has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God.

I would hope that the IRD does not consider this to be a Christian organization worthy of supporting. I would hope that you would hold them accountable for their slanderous words and non-Christian tactics.

    I have my doubts, though.

I think one could be reasonably conservative without resorting to the extremities for which this organization is famous. Fischer is the spokepserson for this outfit, and he reminds me of this guy:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Streicher

    From Wikipedia:

“The consensus among eyewitnesses was that Streicher’s hanging did not proceed as planned, and that he did not receive the quick death from spinal severing typical of the other executions at Nuremberg. Howard K. Smith, who covered the executions for the International News Service, reported that Streicher “went down kicking” which may have dislodged the hangman’s knot from its ideal position. Smith stated that Streicher could be heard groaning under the scaffold after he dropped through the trap-door, and that the executioner intervened under the gallows, which was screened by wood panels and a black curtain, to finish the job.[13] U. S. Army Master Sergeant John C. Woods was the main executioner, and not only insisted he had performed all executions correctly, but stated he was very proud of his work.”

Everything a conservative does is “hate-filled”! I mean, that’s what we live for!

Hate hate hate! Rah rah rah!

Doesn’t it make you feel great to oppose the haters? It means you’re Somebody Important! Intelligent! Sensitive! Righteous! Caring! Compassionate!

Gotta run, I’m on my way to a Hate-In. I hear they found a few witches to burn.

I find groups that bear false witness and otherwise twist real world facts in extreme ways to demonize those with whom they disagree to be distasteful and not something Christians should promote. Are you saying you think that slander and false witness are acceptable behaviors in Christians?

That would be a ridiculous conclusion to reach.

What JP Logan meant to say was that he hates the sin but not the sinner. However, if the sinner just happens to kick the bucket, the sinner gets what he deserves. If you make the sinner suffer in this world, it glorifies God. Matthew Shepard was a sinner. He got what he deserved. His body hanging on the barbed wire fence glorified God.
